Meet Dr. Walter Oronsaye of Phit Pharmacist

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Walter Oronsaye.

Dr. Oronsaye, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
As a Doctor of Pharmacy and a healthcare professional, we deal with patients every day. Our job is to communicate and connect with patients, in order to help them better understand their health. Once there is understanding, patient outcomes and adherence increases. Education about health and fitness can sometimes be dull and boring. I wanted to bring this form of education on a broader scale and make it fun and engaging while giving out information for the betterment of the viewer. This is the essence of Phit Pharmacist. It is a platform used to help spread health and fitness information in a more relatable and entertaining way that connects with everyday people.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Like all good things, it’s not going to happen overnight.

Successful content creators know their success is due not only to their passion, but also to those who inspired them, and pushed them to aspire for greatness in the area they are truly zealous about. In my experience creating health and fitness content that is honest, helpful, and factual at the same time keeping the information simple and easy to digest, can be challenging. Another challenge is using that honest entertaining and helpful information to get the attention of people on social media. I still have many goals I am trying to accomplish through my platform. It is especially challenging trying to balance my full time job as a Licensed Pharmacist and create content on my platform, but that’s the type of challenge worth taking!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Phit Pharmacist – what should we know?
With more than three billion people around the world using social media every month it can definitely help someone with my platform grow to something that could be financially beneficial. However, I originally started my platform to aspire to help others in their journey to a healthy lifestyle, so I will never sell myself and my brand short and promote brands I do not believe in just to get paid. Phit Pharmacist is a platform that creates, share, and spread health information from all phases of medicine, pharmacy, health and fitness. Creating collaborations with other healthcare professionals and brands that I believe in is essential to help create awareness for helpful products and services people provide. I am a Doctor of Pharmacy and a licensed practicing pharmacist in Texas. I am proud of the growth and authentic engagement with the people who follow and like the content I create. Though not all health topics are humorous, I try to add a little humor and excitement at the same time combining that with education in the content I create.
